WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT ACCEPTED?
- Plastic grocery/ shopping bags (grocery stores will accept them)
- ANY FOOD OR SOILED PAPER (i.e. greasy pizza boxes)
- Shredded Paper or Wet Cardboard
- Plastic Containers/Tubs (i.e. sour cream, yogurt, cottage cheese containers)
- Plastic food takeout containers & clear plastic produce containers
- Plastic drinking cups (i.e. Solo cups)
- Tupperware and Rubbermaid containers.
- Paper towels, face or toilet tissues (goes in trash)
- Facemasks
- Styrofoam packaging or peanuts, (UPS & Pony Box stores)
- Bubble wrap
- Styrofoam meat trays, egg cartons
- Poison or pesticide containers or household chemicals
- Motor Oil Containers
- No items contaminated with human or animal waste
- No tires, car parts, or car batteries
- No scrap metal (Goolsby & Sons Scrap Metal Yard)
- Aluminum foil or Aluminum pie pans
- No yard debris, wood or building materials
- Aerosol Cans
- No paints, paint cans or trays, or paint brushes
- Containers that contained flammables
- Glass
- Glass window panes, Mirrors, Perfume bottles, Candle jars
- Crystal, Drinking glasses or Stemmed glass
- Crockery, Ceramics, Pyrex-type glass, glass bottles or jars
- Light Bulbs, Fluorescent or CFL (they contain mercury)
- Plastic Toys, Hoses, Wires, Furniture, Cords or Cables,
- Clothing
- Wire coat hangers (take back to cleaners)
- Any items smaller than 2 inches square
